Hive Helsinki is Hiring: Community Trainee (Part-Time)

Hive Helsinki is seeking a hands-on and active part-time Community Trainee to join our team.

Hive Helsinki is a pioneering, peer-to-peer coding school that enables people from all walks of life to learn future-proof skills through collaborative learning. As the Community Trainee, you will coordinate many of the events at Hive and support the student community at Hive. This entry-level position is ideal for students who wish to work alongside studies or anyone looking for trainee-level part-time work.

About the Position

The Community Trainee supports Hive’s buzzing, vibrant, and colorful community by making our events come to life. Your tasks will be very hands-on, stress-free, fun – yet important! The Community Trainee will be supported by Hive’s Community & Partnerships Lead Salla who is responsible for overall event planning and management at Hive.

Your Key Responsibilities

Event Coordination

  • Handle the practicalities around events and activities at campus, such as promoting events to our students, setting up the Event Space, ordering food and other items for events, taking pictures and videos of campus life, sending feedback after the events to the guest presenters.

  • Supporting the students in creating their events and activities on campus Develop and implement your own event ideas if you are interested and have the time.

Other Support

  • Support the Hive team and the student community in miscellaneous practical tasks and activities.

  • Write drafts for social media posts if you are interested and have time.

Information about the position

  • On-site position at Hive’s campus in Kallio
  • Approximately 20 hours per week. Ideal working days are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, but flexibility is possible
  • 15 euros per hour compensation
  • English language skills are required

Recruitment Process

The recruitment process has two steps during which you will get to know more about Hive and the position and introduce yourself. You will be meeting with Hive’s Community & Partnerships Lead Salla. We will keep the recruitment process conversational, transparent, and relaxed.

This is a part-time position and the start date is flexible.
