The most common internship titles have been Software Developer and Junior Developer, but Hivers have been also working as Cloud Architects, Junior eCommerce Developers, Game Production Developers, Full Stack Developers, Data Engineers, and Embedded Developers, among others.
Hive Helsinki's peer-to-peer curriculum emphasizes collaboration, creative problem-solving, and real-world projects. The internship is a crucial part of the curriculum and allows the students to put their hard-earned skills into practice. By the time students reach the internship stage, they have developed a deep understanding of programming and acquired vital soft skills such as autonomy, rigor, teamwork, and responsibility. So far, Hivers have received an average overall rating of 4.78/5 from the internship employers.
In addition to providing Hive students with valuable experience and connections within the industry, the internships also serve as a valuable opportunity for employers to connect with the next generation of tech talent. Companies that hire Hivers are able to identify top performers early on and hire them as full-time employees after the internship.
Congratulations to all the students!
